We are leaving The Denver area, in love with the KOA that we stayed at! So much so that we are leaving them a 20 star review out of 5!
We picked this campground due to it’s close proximity to Denver but yet it’s mountain feel and remote setting. We encountered wildlife, snow, peace and quiet and such kind people we just feel like we have to shout it to the world!
I’d like to start by saying the staff, owner and everyone in general was so kind and genuine that it made us feel at home! From the moment we pulled in we were escorted to our site and it helped immensely to back into our spot which I personally love! David was the BEST!
They have a gorgeous playground for kids it was new and clean and looked as though it was taken very well care of –Bonus! Cornhole, large life-size checkerboard, large Jenga set and large life size Connect Four as well as a ball pit!!! This RV resort is a kids dream!!!!!
For the pups they had a beautiful dog run, multiple areas to walk the dog and multiple dog poop pick up stations!
Although, we did not need to use the following facilities I always go to check them out for my reviews! Immaculate restrooms, showers, laundry area and even an adorable hot tub area that was indoors!
One of my favorite things about this resort was the RV resort gift shop! Truthfully, I would call it a little boutique it was absolutely to die for! Locally made items, adorable clothing for adults and children, an awesome RV supply section which is such a bonus when you’re traveling! Grab and go food, and wait there’s more –PIZZA! Freshly cooked and even delivered up to your site! Saturday and Sunday they had a pancake breakfast as well which was YUMMY!
Some other huge perks are they have really big sites for big RVs, easy to navigate roads even though it’s literally on top of beautiful mountain ranges. They had really well thought out tent sites and also adorable cabins.
Each site had a well planned out fire pit area, wooden bench, raised sitting area with table and chairs. All in excellent condition and clearly taken care of!
Now for the juicy details of this stay….
after my husband accidentally booked the wrong dates and we got a knock on the RV…. that we should have already checked out that day?!?!?!
WHAT PANIC MODE! However, they quickly helped us move into what they called their emergency spot! The staff David and Hank as well as the owner could not have been more kind about the mixup and so accommodating to help us move quickly and get us set up.
Overall I really would give this KOA a 20 star review! It’s proximity to Denver, Red Rocks, and it’s gorgeous location is a must book if you are in this area!
